Being HIV is a different type of lonely, ask anyone who is been positive for a while. It's true everyone gets lonely, but when your HIV positive only others who share the virus truly understand. Few people know what meds do a person, physically and mentally. Others like VietNam vets know the feeling of being unjustly labeled, we often get judged on a moral condition, as opposed to a medical condition. Politics helped the spread of this virus by not screening the blood, because it would effect their election. So called Spiritual or Christian leaders said 'they are being punished for being wicked'. How is a child who gets a blood transfusion and becomes positive wicked?
I could write a bunch of cleaver fancy words here, but why,the truth is simple,I come here because it is just the fear of rejection outside that brings me to sites like here.
A brief description of me is that I have done almost everything and more I ever wanted out of life, after being diagnosed almost 30 years ago. But before you judge me, take a good honest look at yourself. I don't judge or will ever be judged, that's for tiny closed minds, which I have zero use for. As far as looks, most of us looked great when young, and some still do, but if that's your idea of having a connection, well it's pretty shallow. I personally prefer a woman of substance and self worth, someone who can look back at life and smile, knowing her time, like mine meant something to others.
I enjoy traveling, and seeing the real parts of places, not the tourist guide version, I love to learn all life can teach, and those tough lessons are part of the class. We never graduate, but we do move to bigger and better levels, spiritually, mentally and physically. Oh btw, I live in Florida and NYC, I like both equally in their own way.

I think one of the first things that should be of concern to anyone looking to start a new relationship, is pretty basic. Are you emotionally available, it is a question that I think everyone going onto a dating site should answer honestly to themselves?, it is a fair question that only we can ask ourselves?
I stopped trying to figure out or type my match, I am almost totally open to discovery. I say almost because I never dated out of my race, and please don't think for a second I'm a racist. My friends include all colors and creeds, so if you think I'm closed minded on this point 'so be it' at least I'm honest.
I hope she is comfortable in her own self, she is confident that her life has been a contribution to mankind. And above all she can laugh with me, at me, and at herself and the silliness of life. She loves or is open to going to hear live music, enjoys travel. Finds as much pleasure in staying home and us cooking for friends as well as going out on the town. She enjoys shorts and sandals as well as dressing for a night out, but either way she knows her inner beauty is what shines the brightest.She has a life with me and without me, we enjoy our together time and our own interests, never doubting or having a trust issue.
Finding you would be better than a cure for this virus, I have walked with this virus many years now, I hope to walk with you for even more years.
We have been vulnerable enough and for too long being positive, there is no need or desire to hurt anymore, sometimes things may turn out to be a friendship, and please I don't mean a fling, and hopefully it will a the trip of a lifetime, but only we will know that by talking and trusting our own feelings. And someone who likes Southern winters and Northern summers.
